Sunday Morning Homicide Update

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – According to Sheriff Tony Chavis,Investigators arrested a Hartsville man this morning for a shooting at the intersection of W. Bobo Newsom Hwy. and W. Old Camden Rd. on Sunday Morning that left another Hartsville man dead.  

"Investigators, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, took Marqueze Robinson, 21, into custody this morning,” stated Sheriff Tony Chavis. “We have charged Robinson with murder, and we expect additional charges to follow.”

Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee identified the deceased as Desmond Coe, 24.  Investigators allege Robinson shot Coe, while on a motorcycle, in the roadway near the intersection of W. Bobo Newsom Hwy. and W. Old Camden Rd. Coe then retreated to the Markette Convenience Store near the intersection.  Investigators believe the two knew each other and the incident was not random.
