Investigators Locate Drugs, Gun in Lamar Home

LAMAR, S.C. – According to Darlington County Sheriff Tony Chavis, six men have been arrested following the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Bay Branch Rd. by Drug Enforcement Unit Investigators and the Special Incident Response Team, Tuesday afternoon.  

“Investigators located cocaine, crack cocaine, pills, a loaded 9mm handgun, marijuana, several weight scales and over $2,000 in cash while at the residence,” stated Sheriff Tony Chavis. “This is an on going investigation into the illegal sale of narcotics and more arrests are expected.”

Investigators arrested Christopher Valouse Ervin, Anthony McFadden, Diedric Anton McCullough, Jermaine Blathers, Elray Swinton, and Cornelius Raheem Freeman for charges related to this incident. Investigators were assisted by agents with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, Lamar Police Department and the Hartsville Police Department.
